what is
AcuPuncture vs Acu-therapy?
Acu-therapy combines multiple modalities for stimulating specific points in the body where energy is easily accessed. While in traditional acupuncture we use needles, acu-therapy can use massage, moxa, electric stimulation, cupping, gua sha and if under the care of a physician you can even use infrared laser. Acu-therapy is not limited solely to the use of needles and is a powerful alternative for patients with an aversion to needles and for young children/infants.

Packages do NOT including New Patient appointment and never expire. Packages are a great option for committed patients who are hoping to treat a specific need and can be shared with friends and family if patients are already under Aubrey’s care.
Unlimited packages do expire but patients are welcome to book every office day of the month if necessary. Pre and Post-operative care, post a traumatic injury such as a car accident, acute pain and/or other acute condition would be best treated by this option. Acupuncture works best when we front load our treatments instead of spread them out. This package was designed to make treatments affordable so that patients can receive the fastest relief for the lowest cost.
Super Bills are available to all patients and we are happy to help patients navigate that process. It requires a PPO insurance policy that already covers acupuncture. The payment is given directly to the patient from the insurance and payment is due by the patient at time of service.
Depending on the condition being treated and the nature of the condition, patients usually will get the best results with 1-2 treatments a week for 2-4 weeks, then reducing frequency to 1 time per week or 1 time every other week or even once a month depending on progress. We say in acupuncture that the shelf life of most treatments is 3 days, so in order to keep patients progressing, we recommend 2-3 treatments a week initially depending on the condition. Herbs help to stretch treatments further and improve the potency of treatment, as well food and lifestyle therapies.
